Ms. Racquel Brown

Racquel started her career in the After-school programs, serving young children ages 5 through 14 in the South Bronx, New York. Racquel then moved on to help the high school student’s grades 9 through 12 and has been a part of the Charter School sector for more than a decade.

In Racquel’s current role, she ensures that the daily operational functions of the school are being fully executed. Previously, she was part of a team that successful opened the first stand-alone Charter High School in Brooklyn. This helped her get promoted to the position of Director of Replication that opened two additional Charter High Schools in Brooklyn. Racquel is currently one of the founding members of Northside Charter High School and strongly believes that:” it takes a village to raise a child.” We all need to do our part to help the future generation of America”.

Ms. Lori Fitzmaurice

Ms. Lori Fitzmaurice

Lori began her career in the private sector, working for over a decade as a leader at Charles Schwab & Co., in California and Massachusetts. She has been part of the nonprofit world for almost two decades, working in children’s grief support in New England; in K-8 education and at the San Francisco Zoo. Lori also served as the COO for Girls For A Change, a national nonprofit that provides training and empowerment in social change for middle and high school girls living in low-income neighborhoods; for Free the Slaves, an anti-slavery organization based in Washington, D.C.; and on the ground in Liberia working on reforming girls’ education. She believes today’s young people will change the world for the better.
